Virginia to Relax Restrictions & Allow Outdoor Amusements to Reopen

BREAKING NEWS—Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam, held a press conference from Richmond on February 24th at 11am to give an update on COVID-19 vaccinations, cases, hospitalizations, and to lift some of the previous restrictions placed on the commonwealth. Eased restrictions will have a positive impact on the outdoor amusement industry in Virginia.
Beginning March 1st, outdoor entertainment venues will be permitted to operate at 30% capacity with a 1,000 person cap, increased from a 250 person cap. Northam said he expects the 1,000 person cap to be lifted in April. Large outdoor amusement parks are allowed to operate at a total capacity of 50%.
Other eased restrictions include: private outdoor gatherings of no more than 25 people, increased from 10 people, alcohol sales extended to 12am from 10pm, and the 12am-5am curfew has been lifted. Continue to check Carnival Warehouse for updates on reopening news across the country.
