Timothy Brian Slattery, age 67, of Mason, MI, passed away surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Corewell Healthcare-Lakeland in Saint Joseph, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tim's Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Tim and Missi's home.

Tim was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on February 20, 1957, the son of John Thomas and Esther Marie (Cueto) Slattery. Tim married Michelle R. Ingalls on November 20, 1982, in Mason, MI.

Tim was a Lead Inspector for the Ski and Carnival Division with the State of Michigan retiring in November of 2018, after 30 years. He was an advocate for educating and mentoring his former co-workers and colleagues in the carnival/amusement, and ski industries. He was an avid snowmobiler and snowmobile mechanic. Tim was known for his integrity, wise wisdom, and pride. He was known to be a man of many talents. He was a good man, and faithful husband. As most of you know, his favorite role in life was being a father and grandfather. He was seen as the pillar of his family especially to his siblings.

Tim was an avid sports fan, he liked racing, football, baseball, especially the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, and the University of Michigan Wolverines. Tim thoroughly enjoyed music and attending concerts, especially Bob Seger, The Eagles, Bad Company, and Carlos Santana with John Fogarty. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones up north in Baldwin and on family vacations. Tim had many mottos in life, he truly loved life, and most often shared the motto/quote from Hunter S. Thompson, "Buy the ticket, take the ride!"

He is survived by his wife Missi Slattery of Mason, MI; daughter and son-in-law Brittany and Kurt Force of Mason, MI; granddaughters: Klara and Paula Force of Mason, MI; siblings: Daniel Slattery of Lansing, MI; John and Gail Slattery of Ellenboro, NC; James and Tina Slattery of St. Joseph, MI; Jerry Slattery of Saint Joseph, MI; nieces and nephews: Laura Haase, Katelyn and Bennie Boyd, Megan and Aaron Thomas, Kenny Slattery, Andrea Slattery, Jasmine Slattery, Robby and Chantel Ingalls, Emily and Bobby Albert, Amanda and Alex Aburto, and Marla Ingalls. He is also survived by sister-in-law Tammy Ingalls and many great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Clara Lee Arnold, brother Pat Slattery, sister Keiren (Art) Haase, his aunt Mary Deleuw, and aunt Patricia Slattery.

Memorials may be made to a future fund that will be set up for his granddaughters' education, checks may be payable to Michelle Slattery or Brittany Force.
