San Antonio — Towering 80 feet tall and stretching its limbs to 147' high, the Kraken will make its US debut this week in San Antonio, Texas on the Wade Shows midway.

The ride was originally ordered from KMG in the Netherlands in November of 2022.  The ride was originally scheduled to make its debut at the 2024 South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach, but production and shipping delays pushed delivery back several months.

Marina and Johan Small, owners of Iconic Midway Rides are the visionaries behind the ride and they are thrilled to be bringing it to Fiesta Carnival. “We wanted to bring a ride to the US that was going to be a true head-turner”, said Marina Zaitshik-Small, “and after doing research, we settled on the Kraken”.

The ride is a pendulum-type ride with a swinging arm similar to other midway and fair attractions, but coming in at over twice the size. The ride will move on three large tractor trailer loads as it traverses the country, playing some of the US's largest events. The Kraken is scheduled to appear at the Wisconsin, Minnesota and Oklahoma State Fairs, and the San Diego County Fair, just to name a few.
