Talley Amusements: A Legacy of Excellence in the Carnival Industry
With deep roots in the carnival industry, Tom and Mary Talley, owners of Fort Worth-based Talley Amusements, proudly continue a family tradition that dates back to the early 1900s. Together, their families bring over 200 years of combined expertise, positioning Talley Amusements as one of the top premier amusement providers in the nation. This six-generation family-owned operation involves not only the Talleys but also their three daughters and two son-in-laws, each contributing to the company's enduring success and commitment to excellence.
In 2024, Talley Amusements celebrated several significant milestones. “We recently signed a new contract with the Louisiana State Fair, and the experience has been fantastic,” shares Mary Talley. “Fairgoers have told us they've never seen equipment as pristine and well-maintained as ours. Some have been attending this fair for nearly 30 years, so that kind of feedback means a lot to us.”
Talley Amusements is known for creating memorable first impressions. “First impressions are everything to us,” Mary says. “When visitors step onto our midway, they're welcomed by an experience that captivates all five senses—state-of-the-art rides, vibrant photo opportunities, large digital screens, LED lighting displays, and colorful game tents offering popular prizes. Plus, there are delicious carnival treats and a seamless digital ticketing system that elevates the entire experience.”
In 2024, Talley Amusements expanded its ride lineup with several exciting additions, including the Fabbri “Defender” (a rebranding of the Booster ride), the A.R.M. Hard Rock, and the Wisdom Thunderfest Himalaya. For the 2025 season, even more thrilling attractions are planned, enhancing the company's impressive collection of over 60 rides, from exhilarating thrill rides and family attractions to classic kiddie rides. The midway's food options have also grown, with a new funnel cake stand and the 60-foot-long “Monster Pit” barbecue, offering fresh flavors and unique experiences for guests.
Talley Amusements is an active member of key industry associations, including the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE), Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAFE), the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA), and the Showmen's League of America (SLA). They are also involved with chambers of commerce in various cities, supporting local business communities.
