H-2B Seasonal Labor Update - Reps. prepare letter to House & Senate Leadership to address H-2B Cap Relief
Call your elected officials today!
Rides 4U - New & Used Rides Giant Wheel Foreman Wanted

In response to the Department of Labor receiving over 97,000 applications for the 33,000 available H-2B visas for the second half of the FY2019 cap, Reps. Harris (R-ME) and Pingree (D-ME) and Senators Tillis (R-NC) and King (I-ME) plan to send to House and Senate leadership the attached letter (linked below) urging that meaningful and permanent H-2B cap relief be included in any agreement to end the partial government shutdown. It also highlights the recent issues with the Department of Labor's iCERT system and the overwhelming need for cap relief.

Without cap relief, 2/3 of businesses who applied for seasonal H-2B workers for the summer of 2019 will be capped out and will NOT receive any seasonal workers.  This will leave many carnivals, concessionaires, and amusement parks short staffed and ultimately could affect their ability to operate fully.

The amusement industry needs your help to ensure that this letter has as many signatures and possible.  Please call your two Senators and Representative today and urge them to sign this bipartisan, bicameral letter.  The deadline for signatures is COB on Monday, January 14, 2019.

Your can reach you elected officials through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-225-3121.  Once connected to the office ask to speak to the staff person who handles H-2B issues.  Explain the urgent need for cap relief and ask that the Senator or Representative sign this letter by Monday.
