Funtagg to Provide Digital Ticketing for North American Midway Entertainment

North American Midway Entertainment, (NAME), the world's largest carnival company, has chosen FunTagg to provide its digital ticketing solution. NAME, has a massive North American presence, providing the midway for 11 of the top 50 largest events.
What does this mean for the industry at large? It means that for Top 50 events and beyond, the new standard is now selling midway tickets electronically through kiosks, making paper tickets the exception. The FunTagg system is on track to be used at almost half of the top 50 events in 2024 through their carnival partners.
“NAME was very deliberate in their search for a digital ticketing solution,” says Steve Riegel, founder of FunTagg. “Their due diligence went on for months. Not only did they meet with all of our team members, including with our head of engineering, they spent days on our clients' midways meeting with the individuals who operate and maintain the system. We are very fortunate to have the clients we have,” continues Riegel. “You end up spending days with your clients and their families, they become friends that you care about. We were happy to hear that our clients were pleased with our system and gave us such positive recommendations.”

“While NAME.'s due diligence was time consuming, the entire NAME. team was very enjoyable to work with,” says Riegel. “You can understand why NAME. is so well run after you spend some time with Danny and Blake Huston. These guys are consummate professionals. And while they are demanding, they are very pleasant to work with. We can't wait to get in the field with their team.”
FunTagg's growth has been as impressive as their client base. Wade Shows, Powers Great American Midway, Amusements of America, Deggeller Attractions, Powers and Thomas, Fiesta Shows, Big Rock, Fantasy Amusements, Greater Midwest Shows and Wood Entertainment all use the FunTagg technology.
For FunTagg to maintain its leadership position as the preferred supplier of digital ticketing solutions, it will require continued investment. “Some of our best ideas for innovation come from our customers.” says Riegel. “Their requests are numerous, and often a single improvement may take months to develop. To meet this demand, we are expanding our engineering team.”
The FunTagg team is currently busy making code improvements and building kiosks. “Our customers' downtime is our busy time. Fortunately, we all enjoy our work so it's fun for us to build kiosks and exciting to make code improvements. We are looking forward to getting back in the field with our customers and providing the best digital ticketing solution in the business.”
