Carolyn Porter of Porter Foods Passes
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Porter. Carolyn, along with her husband Raymond, owned and operated Porter Foods from 1958 until their retirement in 1991.
On Saturday morning, Carolyn was united with Raymond once again. Our hearts are heavy here on earth, but what a joyous reunion for them both. For those that knew Carolyn and Raymond, they were always together. Both of their memories will live in our hearts forever.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Ron Porter, and daughters, Karen Wolfe, Lynn Hugus, and Jill Hester. Carolyn loved her family and leaves behind several grandchildren and great children.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28th, beginning at 10:00am – 11:00am at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, Illinois. Services will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00am. There will be a dinner held at the American Legion in Du Quoin, Illinois immediately following the service to celebrate Carolyn’s life.
