Biggest Wheel, LLC.'s America 250 Wheel will be featured at the upcoming America 250 Celebration in Charleston, West Virginia, organizers announced last week.
The celebration is scheduled for July 2–5, 2026, at the West Virginia State Capitol Complex and will feature a 3D light show, live musical performances, food and artisan vendors, and the largest traveling portable observation wheel in North America. Rides on the wheel will be offered free of charge to the public.
“As we approach America's 250th anniversary, West Virginia is proud to host a celebration that honors our nation's history while bringing families and communities together,” said West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey in a prepared statement. “We're excited to showcase our Capitol Complex and welcome families from across West Virginia and beyond for a world-class Fourth of July celebration in the Mountain State.”
Built by KMG of the Netherlands, the America 250 Wheel made its North American debut in February at the Florida State Fair before appearing at the Florida Strawberry Festival. Following its engagement in Charleston, the attraction will continue its 2026 tour with appearances that include the Wisconsin State Fair.
Standing more than 230 feet tall, the wheel features 45 gondolas, each themed with patriotic décor honoring one of America's presidents.
