Sounds like a great midway there. Wish I could visit.

NO big coaster at NYSF.

Drop Zone is an SBF drop tower, shorter but better program than ARM. Bounces up and down several times rather thah ARM's slow up and then a quick drop down about 60% of the tower.

Not only no big coaster, but also missing from last year is the log flume, as well as the 3 big Huss pieces.

Holes appear to have been filled by the 2nd Scrambler, the Orbiter, Alutok's Sea Ray, the Drop Zone tower, and additional funhouse type attractions.

There were no Scramblers at last year's NYSF.
The Big Bumper boats are also missing this time.

other new atractions this year are the two sideshows, the Chilly Willy, the Monkey Maze, the 4x4 trucks, the Kong inflatable & the Mt Conquest which replaced the titanic.

There are lots of people here saying that the rides are really shabby this year. Does anyone have an explanation?

Only pics I have to date are a few set up shots and a couple of the model display I set up on Tuesday. I'm not sure when I'll get back there. Was supposed to go Saturday but that probably won't happen.

But, I will post some shots from Hamburg in webshots, possibly later tonight.

I don't recall anyone here describing the rides as "shabby". Ride count is up but three of the big Huss pieces are gone.

Anybody know who the 4x4 on Strates belongs to? The lot marking just said "4x4".

Every year i see Strates, they look awesome, rides and all, and thats not till towards the end of the season. They don't have shabby looking rides.

SC Jay, are you gonna come with Strates to Winston Salem? I wouldn't mind getting a Topspin behind the scenes tour.[:p]
