Is the new Downdraft ride a more modern day version of the Hurricane Ride?

Yes, updated with tubs that allow feet to dangle and of course the lights and deco is different. I haven't seen one in person but looks like a great ride, although personally I love the old style with the banjo lights around the top.

there is a beautiful Downdraft at Knoebels park in PA. Looks like it is a brand new ride this year that replaced their old one

Evans Midland Empire Shows has one with a great color changing light show. There is one at the Illinois State Fair each year too.
