Anybody heard anything on a new midway provider for the Upper SC State Fair? If its who I think it is, would be a really great show coming in.

According to the website they moved the dates back to late August/first of Sept, which is where it was before when it did much better.

I could be totally wrong but the way the schedule plays out this aug/september the wild mouse would go straight from WV to Frederick,MD early, going to take a shot in the dark that stinger would go down to SC but not sure, probably one flitzer coaster down there

Yeah I didn't think the Mouse would make it with the spots up north but hoping on the Flitzer, Dutch Wheel, Article Blast and of course would be nice to see a Scrambler back in there, hadn't had one since Deggeller left just sizzlers. Would like to see the Stinger but figured it would be up north as well.

Sure wish they still had a Tip Top, Twister, and the Cobra would be really nice to have those as well but think all those have been retired. Saw each of them at one time or another over in Spartanburg.

I would guess the stinger would go down there , it always went to Essex,VT along with the mouse, who knows due to the way the calendar plays out in september the Upper SC fair ends labor day Sept 7th, Frederick fair up here doesnt start until the 18th so that's a ten day jump , of course about 40 of the rides go from SC to Connecticut for a thursday-sunday event after labor day, so maybe the mouse would go down there, last year Stinger made a 17 hour jump from St paul,Mn to frederick, so i guess we could see it down there

PS i do know they have a G/M scrambler on the orange unit somewhere, we usually get the 2nd sizzler here lol

Yeah they have had the Scram over in Spartanburg the last few years too. You know thinking about it Playworld never brought their Tilt so it's been awhile for that one too. Big A brought their Mouse when they had the contract for three years and two big music rides each year as wheel, it was a nice midway.

I haven't seen/been on the Flitzer for a number of years now so either would be great.

The stinger and the wild mouse are moved by the same crew. They almost never go to different spots.

Not True…
Mouse was in Essex Junction last year and the Stinger played the Minn State fair, which is where I’m guessing it will head again this year after the West Virginia State fair. The person who is in charge of both rides got the mouse by morning in Essex and was on a plain to Minn State fair right after that to tear down the Stinger….

As far as the Mouse being at the Upper SC State Fair, I’d bet it will be there….
It used to jump from West Virginia to Essex Junction Vermont (about 900 miles) and then head to the Frederick fair (about 500 miles) after that. The jump to SC would not be as bad and it’s the only spot they have that week to put it up, so why not use it… Does not make money sitting dead for 2 weeks. But I could be totally off, just my thoughts :-)
