A shame all of the Papa John's locations near me closed up. One owner, and he went bankrupt. Nearest one to me is all the way on the east side in St. Clair Shores now. Some of the best chain pizza I have ever had. And honestly, for only $5 and no waiting, and you're in a hurry, Little Caesar's isn't bad; not great, but not bad either. In fact there is a Little Caesar's location in Dearborn Heights on Van Born Road that makes theirs different for some reason, better tasting, thicker crust, crispier pepperoni, not sure what they do but it's not the same as you usually get from Little Caesar's. |

we use both papa johns and little ceasar here at school to feed students at after school FFA meetings and they both are good here. little ceasar is cheaper most times but both deliver a good product. I have had pizza hut pizza that was good also. now wth that I have had bad pizza from all chains in different locations. it all has to do with the cooks. same with chain steak houses, some good and some not so good. last time at morton's in vegas I stated I will never go back and have not yet. the longhorn steak at coastal grand mall in myrtle beach is great. all has to do with the cooks.

Papa Johns is pretty good. Much better than Little Ceaser's, Domino's or Pizza Hut. |

Papa John's always upset my wife's gallbladder so we avoided it, even know that she has had it out. |

Although Tivoli Pizza in Armada, Michigan, wow, great pies. |

For me it's usually The Alibi, Jet's, or Hungry Howies. Hungry Howies is national, or at least multi-state, but it's based down the road from me. |

I love Hungry Howies, but we dont have it around here. Sky is right. With national chains, you know what your getting. Best local pizza ive ever had was a small shop in Indian Lake. Papa Johns isnt my favorite, but anytime i can get a free pizza, IM IN !!

I can remember when the 1st pizza place opened here. It was a pizza hut. Before then when you wanted pizza we had to ride to Fayetteville -- 45 miles -- to get it and then it was at Dino's. old story -- when my wife was a kid their family went to get pizza, never had it before, so when they ordered, they ordered one for everyone. country going to the city. lol

NO pizza like NY Pizza! i don't wanna hear about that chicago deep dish crap either LOL.
that being said, when I am feeling lazy and don't want to drive to the pizza places local (they don't deliver) i will call and order dominos. They have been much better since they changed the sauces. Pizza Hut is better IMO but we don't have many around here on the Island. |
