does Reithoffer still have their Mack Raupen Bahn? I saw it years ago in Frederick MD. Some of you here have probably moved it over the years.

what can you tell me about it, and if they still have it does anybody have any recent photos of it racked and set up
Thanks

I saw it this year at a fair in October, it was pretty rough. Nothing like the beautiful piece I saw back in the ‘80s. Of course I looked lot better back then too....

Isn't it now themed as Arctic Blast?

Yeah, I think that’s what it was called, I posted a thread when I visited them.

The tubs were painted over and looked crappy and the cat-canvas was gone...

But still going after 30 years...

It was refurbished several years back (4 years back I believe) from the Super Cat to the Arctic Blast and it may NOT be at the same level and beauty it once was when new, it certainly looks good to me...
I really like the original Raupen Bahn (Caterpillar Ride) theme and having the canopy that came over the passengers during the ride. I have seen this ride since it was brand new till now.

I'm sure it has some wear and tear since the refurb, but looked good after... It played my home town fair (Chaplain Valley Expo in Essex Junction VT) after the refurb and looked great... Missing some of the original flash, but still attractive!

The pavilion had a nice one as well, then it moved to Broadway on the Beach after the pavilion closed.

However, sadly I see that it now up for sale along with the Huss Pirate.

May be Reithoffer could pick this up cheep and:

Use as is, looks pretty good from the pics
Combine the best from both they would then have to make one very nice piece
Use for parts. These are the ONLY 2 in North America so parts must be hard to get and don't believe Mack makes these any longer.

This piece a long with the SEE STRUM BAHN were 2 of my favorites...
