Here is a pictures of the Davis Enterprises Giant Wheel, with tubs completely retofitted with metal bars. There is no way for one to fall out. Single riders now permitted. The only drawback is that patrons must both enter and exit through the front of the ride.

Blah, prison cell cars. It would be nice if personal responsibility meant something today instead of having to resort to this.

Only in America would they have to do this because of lack of rider responsibility... In Europe, it's your own damned fault if you jump off the ride...

Exactly. The folks in Europe probably look at that and start laughing uncontrollably. A shame, but that's unfortunately what our sue-happy 'I smell a get-rich quick way to make money' society filled with folks who take no personal responsibility for their own actions has led too. It looks horrible by the way.
