hey everyone, yesterday i went to the san antonio rodeo stock show & rodeo at the s.b.c center. the midway looked so much better than my previous 3 visits, the way the rides were set up on the midway was a huge change from last year, anyway, here's what was there:

wade shows:

zylkon
a.r.m skyrider (skymaster)
fabbri mega drop
wisdom gravitron (has purple starship and black scenery with blue light side panels on it's scenery wall)
fabbri twister (crazy dance) (ride now spins clockwise and arms now spin counterclockwise)
wisdom himalaya (scenery panels fixed, but only running farward, not backwards)
wipeout (wheel now spins a little faster than it did last year)
scrambler (painted red & blue, not the same one from last year)
tilt-a-whirl
giant wheel (one of it's rim drive motors did'nt sound good)
majestic scooter (missing scooter signs over the enterance of the ride)
eurobungey
wisdom raiders
carousel (larger than the smaller one that was there)
zamperla barnstormer
funny bones fun house
mardi gras (fun house)
san antonio jeeps
san antonio motorcycles
zamperla crazy plane (was refurbished this year)
super slide (was slightly refurbished this year)
wisdom go gator
sellner spin the apple
fajume wacky worm
zamperla choo choo charlie (train refurbished this year)

jim's rides:

k.m.g experience (yes it was running this year, looks awsome at night)
ghost pirates (dark ride)
das persian camel (fun house) (was refurbished last year, i think)

wood entertainment:

mondial magnum (shake)
tivoli techno power (remix)
mack sleighride (matterhorn)

bishop amusements:

k.m.g tango
k.m.g spin out

flight to mars inc:

mondial fighter (swinger)

alamo amusements:

carousel (smaller than wade's)
kiddie swings
kiddie sausers (simaler to the kiddie swings)
musical chairs (swing ride)
dragon train

that's all i remember seeing there, great rides, great shows who brought them, awsome midway, awsome event, can't wait to go there again next year.

Sounds like a great midway. Which Scrambler was there last year, the yellow/blue one? The Crazy Place was done last year, it was being worked on during the summer.

Wow Cstephens you have an awesome memory. I never thought anyone else noticed the Twister running the opposite direction. I wonder if there's a reason it gives a better ride that way? Maybe it's just me. I was just thinking about you today, wondering if you were gonna show up. I had the day off yesterday... I had a test to study for. I guess I'll see you again at Poteet or maybe Houston right?

wisdom gravitron (has purple starship and black scenery with blue light side panels on it's scenery wall)
Are you sure it's not actually blue scenery with black panels?

wisdom himalaya (scenery panels fixed, but only running farward, not backwards)
Which direction is "farward" again, is that the opposite of "nearward"?

wipeout (wheel now spins a little faster than it did last year)
Was the loads the same as last time? Because a couple of fat kids can really slow a ride down...

scrambler (painted red & blue, not the same one from last year)
Duh...Last years was Blue & Red.....

giant wheel (one of it's rim drive motors did'nt sound good)
Maybe the other motors sounded way better than usual?

majestic scooter (missing scooter signs over the enterance of the ride)
How do you know it was a "scooter" if the sign was missing? Maybe it was a "RamRods","Dodge'em", or "bumper cars"....

carousel (larger than the smaller one that was there)
Could of been Bigger than the Big one that was there...

san antonio jeeps, san antonio motorcycles
When they are in Chicago are they called "Chicago Jeeps and Motorcycles"?

super slide (was slightly refurbished this year)
If you wash a ride you "slightly refurbish" it by returning it closer to its original condition "clean"....

k.m.g experience (yes it was running this year, looks awsome at night)
Or was it running just the night you see it?

ghost pirates (dark ride)
Did you need a flashlight too see in the Dark?

mondial magnum (shake)
Shake Well before Using

mondial fighter (swinger)
Most fighters usually do throw a few swings...

carousel (smaller than wade's)
Not as big as the Big one?

musical chairs (swing ride)
Also a crappy kids game I always lost at....

tivoli techno power (remix)
If they mixxed it right the first time they would not have to Re-mix...

I wonder who has more free time here.....Me or Cstephens for making the original list? Don't get mad about the additional commentary....It's just a joke man...

the scrambler that was at the san antonio rodeo last year was painted yellow and blue, the one that is there this year is painted red and blue, the one that is there this year is NOT the same one from last year's san antonio rodeo. wade owns both of those scramblers

Okay Clay, Wade's Scramblers: The yellow/blue one was painted before 2003. Prior to that it was blue/green, straight blue, and before that burgandy. Decals were added to the tubs in late summer 2003. The tubs have been silver for as long as I can remember.

The red/blue Scrambler was all blue prior to 2004, and before that teal, and before that a lighter shade of blue. The tubs have been red for quite a few years.

At one time both Scramblers were painted all silver, waaaay back in the day. lol
