It may be out of print, Ive had it for years... Its Called "Carnival by Arthur H. Lewis. 1970 He traveled around for a season or two with a few shows then wrote this book. I bet there are names y'all havent heard in years. Alot of old history about strates shows, Dell & Travers. Just alot of great old history.

I also remember reading that book when I was in school at Georgia Southern. They actually had it in the library there.

i put carnival books on google, then hit feeling lucky, and a site comes up that has one for sale.

My mother has a copy, I'll have to reread it. I remember my cousin being quite upset and talking lawsuit over being misquoted in it.

Yep...I've read that book too....when I was a kid they had it at our local public library. Best I recall there is a rather interesting chapter in there on a stripper too....
