UserPostedImageWhat you are looking at looks very much like a spy foto from the eastern blok but it is all that remains of an 8mm movie of the Radar from the 1962 Oktoberfest Munich. I can't find the movie but long ago i printed 1 frame from it.

The name is visible, huge, Huss like pneumatic scissor lift flat Paratrooper that also revolves on a third axis, exactly like the Trabant.

I'm not sure why it was deleted but I found the link in my history:

Oh, there's still a few of those that tour in Europe. One is known as the Super All Round. Quite a very nice ride.

I posted the link, but deleted it 'cause technically the pics not mine. It was sent to me by a friend, but I dont know who actually took the pic, so don't know who to credit. Didn't want to be accused of being a pic thief....[;)]

Anyway. glad you liked it. I may have some pics of the ride up and running, but will have to look for them.

Looks like my dad's arc wielder. It would be great to see a few of these over here. I'm guessing it's a two trailer ride.

Nice going Keith. I seem to remember seeing the ride in action in 63, I liked the audible action of the pneumatics and I had suspected it was built by klauss because he was always big with pneumatics.

Super-All-Around????

That sounds like the famous "Dancing Queen" that Morey's Pier had in the 80s. It was basicly like a paratrooper with trabant motion. It had a central tower with it rose up on and had a curve at the top which made the ride tilt. Simmilar mechanics as the Wave Swinger.

Cool, in Morey's Pier, there was a Dancing Queen? Have someone got photos of this ride?

In Bellewaerde Park, there is a Dancing Queen:

I have got some photos of the german ride "Taifun", it's a similar ride as Dancing Queen, but nicer, because it's a travelling ride.

I have one photo that I took of Morey's Dancing Queen but its not digitized. I think I also have a post card featuring an ariel shot of Morey's Pier where the ABBA ride is visible.

Can you scan the photo ore someone can do it for you, when you haven't a scanner?

I have pictures of a German Hollywood Star. It is from manufacturer "Fähtz". Here is one picture of it:
