Late, but better than never…

Stopped in at the Delaware State Fair yesterday. First thing I noticed was NO Spider setup on the midway! Was replaced by something, but I’m NOT sure what???

Big improvement on the way the show looked as compared to the BIG A Fair in NY…
Games and food looked GREAT, as they usually do on Wade.
Lots of tents and umbrellas setup with picnic tables and or benches under them.
Bottom line is the midway looked great…

Delaware’s whole midway area is paved/concrete.

Ride lineup was the 38 rides that were at the BIG A Fair, minus the Spider and plus some more added, for a total of 48 pieces. It was a very nice lineup… The ONLY thing missing was a real Himalaya type ride. That Wisdom Himalaya just doesn’t cut it IMHO…

great line up ! I remember the days at deleware that it was nothing but sand and horse flies ! but I would suspect that paving and concrete is just the same HOT!! I don't think that this accident is going to hurt the show at all, people are still going to come out..
It's a wonderful fair , what kind of grandstand entertainment did they have?
it's never 'DANGEROUS' being who you are

I was there on Friday night and, in all honesty, I was a little dissapointed with Wade. Everything looked good, but not just as good as I had thought they might. Things like the Pirate's boat having gigantic holes in it and (overall) looking in shabby shape, almost none of the lights working on the Turbo Force, the rust on the Turbo Force, and a lot of faded paint were a little bit of a let-down for me. Some of the rides, like the non-working Rainbow, were in top-notch condition. But, overall the entire show didn't live up to my expectations.

From what I understand the Spider was set up next to the Orbiter, so whatever was next to the Orbiter would be what replaced the Spider. Wade does have some rides that need work, no doubt, but that's what they have been concentrating on over the last year or so. That was Wade's second unit. Believe it or not, that unit will be in Dearborn, Michigan this week.

Then that would be the Wisdom Tornado (if I remember correctly).

Chris was that Wades Raiders there? I thought it was sharp looking... Had nice paint job on it!
