Conklin Shows has an ad in the May 17 AB looking for help from June 21-Nov 13, 2004.
Locations listed include YONKERS, NY; Columbus,IN; Valparaiso, IN; Lewiston, NY; West Springfield, MA; Columbia, SC; Mobile, AL; Dothan, AL.

1. Is the Yonkers fair back on? Or is this a new event?

2. What events is Conklin playing in INDIANA?

If I'm not mistaken, Columbus and Valpo Indiana are CVS spots...so I'd assume that Conklin is booking on pieces to supplement those fairs? The Columbus fair is a pretty good "medium" sized fair, I dunno bout the Valpo date...perhaps Matt or Ryan can comment on it since it is in their neck of the woods.

No mentions of anything in Yonkers that I can find.....nothing at the raceway's website, or at the county's website....

I hope the Defender will make it to one of those spots. As I remember clearly it only visits two fairs which was Westchester County and the CNE.

I spoke to a knowledgable State inspector today who spoke highly of Conklin. That is good to know.

yes rhino that would be the National Peanut Festival here in Dothan,AL. A CVS spot but Conklin and Wood Entertainment both have rides placed here. Very good festival with attendance of about 200,000 annually.

valpo IN is a typcal county fair. CVS ussualy books a funhouse or 2 in, not ussualy rides though. I will be very suprosed if they do bring stuff in there. Columbus IN is a slow and small spot for CVS.

They must do OK there...they've had it for years now. I visited once there and they had 20 plus rides in there....and there was a big crowd on the night I was there.

Columbus and Valpo are both CVS fairs and have nothing to do with Conklin.
Its not impossible it just costs more.

Well not surprised cause if they didnt have people booking in rides i think the Lewiston NY lot would look pretty empty... (im expecting a few new rides in september!)
