Thanks for the update, still haven't seen pictures of their new Himalaya yet though on their web site or anything, is it on the road?

Kind of a side topic, but Powers and Thomas had some great pictures of their Sky Diver on their page.

The wheel looks beautiful, and i like the idea of lighting in the roof of the gondolas, I just wonder since as you say Britt, that it's getting a new lighting package over the off season, if it would have been better in the long run to get a complete LED system like Ray Cammack's wheel has, instead of just the sun burst and rim, plus gondolas, it does look pretty slick though, but doesn't it defeat the purpose to get that style knowing at the end of the season it will be redone? just a question, and my honest opinion
It certainly is stunning, and I can't wait to see it here in Gaithersburg,MD in August, even better it made it onto the cover of this year's fair book

Could be they can light it significantly cheaper or better than the manufacturer.

For what, pinning the spreaders?

And what's holding them up?

Bingo. we have a winner. plus there was not time to do it this year. we are in the middle of a heat wave and it was 98 degrees with a heat index of way over 100 while they were putting it up.

Yes they are used to assemble the wheel. You can see how they are held up in the picture at the link below.
