Can someone tell me the Show that played this spot in 1971?

If you know of any shows there and the time line would be great.

I know Milt K Gooding's Million Dollar had it, and Murphy... anyone else?

The only one I remember is Murphy Brothers from 1989 till 2004? Have not gone there since except last year to see Iron Maiden concert. They had some big iron back then. Pinfari Coaster, Thunder Bolt, Musik Express (MACK?), Chance Giant Wheel, and other big stuff. Those were the days.

In mid 70's Gooding Million $ Midway played Milwaukee, then Erie, PA, then Allentown, PA, and then back to Indiana SF.
They stopped playing Allentown in '78 when the fair changed dates. They booked in other shows at Allentown in '78.

I thought it was Milt.

I found some photos of this spot back in the 70's but could not find his name on anything.

Scott, thanks for posting those photos. It's a shame that the event no longer has a carnival, but is one of the largest festivals in the area.

I remember going to it back when I was young when Murphy brought in some large iorn. German Fun House, Mack Jungle Express, Chance Falling Star, Huss Enterprise, Flume among others.

I just posted some photos from one of the last years that I attended Summer Fest when Murphy was there in 2001.

Check them out in the MCW Photo Gallery - CLICK HERE

I have some hard photos from pre-2001 somewhere that I would have to find a scan in. Some of which were taken from the same area showing the peninsula with the midway on it like in Scott's photos.

Nice pics Matt. That was back when Murphy was on top.

The photos of Beckman & Garety as well as Goodman shows were both taken at Milwaukee's "Mid-Summer Fest" right on the shore... I'm thinking this must be the same festival and same location
