Found this from Woodland Scenics on a model truck forum thought it could come in handy for people using the devices. Especially when you are out on the lots and can grab measurements of things...

I just eye ball too usualy. Not that I've scratch built more than one or two rides though. Isn't most stuff out of scale to some degree anyway? I know alot of Faller stuff looks like it at least.

The app is bad ass! Now the crews are gonna be yelling at me when I'm in the way measuring parts of a ride! Lol,

App works great! Thanks for sharing.

I have done a few scratch-built models and have always tried to convert to be 100% HO scale, but as someone mentioned, that's not always feasible. The Faller Wave Swinger chairs, for example, come to mind. Knowing a few rules of thumb can help eyeball things as well. I generally use:

Average man who is 6' = roughly 3/4'' HO Scale
100ft = roughly 13.5''

Well this app helped me figure out that the true scale I model in is 1:30 apparently 53' in 1:30 is 21.3 one of my rides is 20".

I've heard a few people say that the Faller Bumper Cars roof is a bit too tall, where-as the Top-in Dodgems looks more correct, as the roof isn't tall & high like on the Bumper Cars' roof. I've had the Lemax Zipper replica & no doubt, it's G-scale, since it's larger than HO.
