did everybody have their blackeye peas for new years , this dam yankee did.
its a old tradition in the south

No on the black-eyed peas, but this german/irish fellow had his corned beef and cabbage as always.

I hope this new year is a blessing for all of us. Most of us probably could use a better year right about now.
I've never been "with it", just been an interested observer of carnivals for more than 50 years.
Johnny's United Shows..."A Family Tradition" and "All for Fun, Fun for All".
The carnival of my youth, which had roots that originated in my hometown.

We had our pork and sauerkraut which is a PA dutch tradition. First time I heard about it was about 12 years ago after I moved here. Growing up we had nothing special for luck on New Years Day.
It is what you learn, after you know it all, that counts.
