Latest update has now partially resolved the issue for most mobile browsers.

We are now able to completely disable mobile themes which means that if you are on a Mobile Device, you will get the 'full forum' while the developers resolve the underlying issues with mobile device support. Atleast you can login and work with the forums now (we hope). If not able to post, you should at least be able to view and browse.

Thanks for your patience during our updates!

Just received word from the developers that we might have the main issue resolved with mobile themes in the software. I will be checking the code out tomorrow and updating the system to find out how it goes -- thumbs up to them for sure as this is Christmas and they are still hard at work solving our issues! More to come tomorrow!

I really like the new look. I do have a couple of questions though.

1. I've looked but i cannot find....... just what are those little numbers by our usernames?

2. Will there be a "tool" box/section/menu? Guess I'm the only one in the world but I dont twitter/chat or facebook and would like to disable the toolbar. Is that or will that be an option?

3. Nothing about the site, but I will be using your help , recommendations for what hopefully will be my last re-installation of Win7. (Clean!)
Thank You again... very much.

Those are 'reputation points' - it's an external service -- basically as users provide more and more useful answers, you can bump up their points or 'vote' up the posts. It's just another extra on the new software, basically, so we turned it on --

With (#2), if you click the 'double-down' arrow at the far right site of the bar, it will hide it for you --

#3 - will do the best I can to help out --

We have just finished another update, which should have resolved MANY issues we have been having.

Members should have full mobile device support now.
Ability to update your email address via the activation key sent to you in an email 'should' work, but this has not been 100% tested.
Several other issues we have been having should be resolved as well.

Please let us know if you are still having issues - either by replying here or sending an email to forumserver@carnivalwarehouse.com -- Thanks!

Last night, after the latest round of updates, I did some digging into the database and noted that there are issues with the post counts from the import of the database, so a script was re-written to re-count all member posts. The output is linked below. If you're curious, you can look at the file and if there is a <-- DIFFERENCE next to your name, then your post count was originally miscounted and has been updated. Please note -- this list is sorted by UserID, not name - older users are at the top - newer users at the bottom. Enjoy --

On my Windows 6.5 smartphone I can now get to the forums, however I get a page that has the logo, "My Profile", "My Inbox" "My Albums", "My Topics", "Logout" and the message "MCW Forums >> Requies Cookies" (not requires cookies). Cookies are definitely turned on.

The page refreshes every 10 seconds or so.

Thanks for the information - I will look into this -- It might be an issue against just the Windows Smartphone or some kind of 'cache' issue -- it seems we are having a little javascript issue here or there as well. Thanks for your input and I'll post back when I find something out!

The only suggestion I can try is to logout and try logging back in and see if that clears up the error. I doubt it will but it's worth a shot ;)

Neat, an edit does not bounce the topic to the top.

Doesn't allow me to logout. When I click logout nothing happens...

Deleted cookies and it now shows me logged out but I still get the "requires cookies" error. Then when I click login, instead of MCW >> requires cookies page I get an MCW >> Login page and I'm still not logged in.

"preview" function in posting does not produce a live link which is handy for testing pics and video links.

[admin2] I have noticed that when you are looking at a topic and you click "Next topic" It just reloads the page and displays a "No More Topics in this Forum" message.

Also, I am still having the "Less than one minute" problem. I tried updating my time zone. It didn't help.

I hope I'm not driving you nuts, Squirrel. I feel like a pest. Just trying to let you know about the issues so you can get this thing all fixed up! LOL💻

Whenever you reply to a topic, it moves that topic to the top of the list, which 'messes up' the next/previous topic from when you started browsing -- not really much that can be done for it. The message used to display at the top of the page, but now it atleast shows up 'within the screen area' instead of having to scroll back to see it.

The time-ago issue is an odd one. It's not causing errors for me as of late... I run Firefox on Win7 myself -- I know there are still some javascript issues with the mobile devices. I've been told that there is another series of updates coming right after the new year that are supposed to clear up many of our 'remnant' issues we're having.

No worries about being a 'pest' -- I can't work on fixing something if I don't know it's broken!
