Just had a chat with John Strong who informed me that Butler has six majors set up in Dreamland at coney island, does anybody know what they are? Is one of them the Rock and Roll fun house?

Wow, he has had rides there before, 4 I believe a year or two back.
Star Dancer
MJ's old Dragon Wagon
MGR
some kind of raiders type unit

They all went back to the west coast.
Long way to send equipment. If he has rides there wonder why he'd do that?

Yes Butler sent a few rides to Coney at John Strong's request in 2009. That summer, "Dreamland" was on the former Astroland lot and featured Glenn Geren's rides and several shows including John Strong's. The Dreamland operator had verbally promised everyone multiyear leases, but it was not to be...

Here's my flickr set of Butler's rides at Coney. The Star Dancer was very photogenic and the Michael Jackson Dragon Wagon drummed up a lot of publicity. Butler also sent a Barrango carousel, a walk through Kid Zone, and a cotton candy trailer

The lot was sold to the City and is now the site of Zamperla's Luna Park. Thor Equities still owns parcels on the Bowery side of Stillwell, which were vacant last summer. If anyone can manage to rent those lots and put in amusements, more power to them! Efforts by amusement operators to lease the property and put in rides last summer failed due to onerous lease terms.
