However, I remember being on Lowery shows in 1995. At the time, there were 2 bunkhouses that held the whole show-ticket sellers, food help, ride jocks and joint help. No motels-you worked the show, you slept in the bunkhouse, And no cars. Everyone piled into a couple vans and went out to eat together every day. It was like being in a time warp. I wound up there quite by accident, and got the hell out of dodge maybe three weeks later. So I guess I have heard of small shows with rules like that. I just can't imagine staying with one myself.
