They started work today dismantling the Texas Giant Wooden Roller coaster. The projected cost is $10,000. Included is supposed to be a steeper first drop. I'll get pics as progress permits. The coaster opened in 90. I rode it once and as wood coaster are it was a rough ride.

I stand corrected, 10 million. They also apinted their hyper coaster this past fall but I didn't get a price on that. It was contracted out.

When i read the post, i thought you were talking about the Texas Giant Wheel that sits there permanently..Big Tex i think they call it.

It's called the Texas Star.


Big Tex is the giant "statue" that greets folks entering the state fair.
