Today, Sept. 27 will mark the final day for the 81 year old Kiddieland in the Chicago suburb of Melrose Park. Over 5,000 are expected with an hour wait to get in the gates as has been the case for several weekends. Some speculation is out there that everything, lock-stock-and barrel may be moved to Utica, Ill, but for the moment it's a very, very sad day as an era ends and we say goodbye to a beloved Chicago landmark.

don;t hold your breath on utica. He bought some santas village equipment and that is still not up yet.

Kiddieland is a classic family battle. 1/2 of the family owns the land, the other half owns the part, the first part decided to sell the land.

It is ashame another park looks like it will be gone.
It is what you learn, after you know it all, that counts.
