My husband, Bob Barnard, passed away on June 28. He had pony rides and food concessions mainly in the NE Ohio area, and was on the Ashtabula County Fairboard for over 29 years, mainly serving as president and concession manager. The "Celebration of Life" was held at our picnic grounds in Pierpont, Ohio with Father Phil Miller officiating. Father Phil has a corn dog trailer, and spoke of Bob's passing as the last tear down. We brought Bob's ashes to the event with horse drawn stagecoach, and there was plenty to eat and drink, an unconventional funeral--as unconventional as Bob was. He is survived by wife Kathy and 2 sons, 3 grandsons and 1 great grandson.

I am so sorry too, I just met you in May and you said he wasn't doing well. I wish you all the best and happy trails.
Sounds like you had a nice send-off for him.
