When I took photos in the summer, I just assumed they were Mangels because the ride is in Coney and his factory was down the street. Now I'm thinking they're Herschell. Anybody else have any photos so I can see the difference? The ride is at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park, which will remain open since they have a long term lease. Each boat is named after a different Coney Island Park, all defunct now except for the namesake USS Deno's.

When the rides were repainted a few years ago, a former arcade owner who is a history buff had the idea it would be a neat way to pay tribute to Coney's amusement heritage. The other boats are named after Boyton's Sea Lion Park, Luna Park, Dreamland, Steeplechase and Astroland.

That's a Hershall. Hershall made the tank out of aluimium and it bolted together. The boats made of the same. The were gger and wider. Talley has one rethemed to to a viking theme.
