I got a phone call last evening from Tony Doty and a P.M. this morning confirming it that Ed McDowell had passed on saturday..

Ed was known around New York as Newburgh Eddie..But he lived just outside of Utica..(Illion).
Ed was a ride guy for The Bartosiks B and B Ride Company,out of Amsterdam N.Y. up until about the mid 80s...He drove Semi cross country and for the carnival...Oh the stories that man had..He also worked for Clyde Beatty Cplo Bros circus before his carnival days..
I had lost touch with Eddie for many years,but thanks to hooking back up with Tony 2 years ago,we have talked about once a month for the last 2 years ,and I had the pleasure of seeing him this summer on my trip to New York..
Eddie was a good friend who would do anything for you,and I am proud to have had him as a friend
