I remember a show that had "Just for the fun of it" as a slogan and it was on all the trucks, rides, everything. That show had a nice run but soon had money problems. The office staff had first count if you know what I mean. Anyway, the show went bankrupt and they had an auction. The point of this story is, at the auction, I ran across a friend of mine and he was laughing his ass off. I said "what's so funny?" He said, "Look at the slogan on the side of that truck." (Just for the fun of it) "Turns out it was."

Since this is a topic about slogans, I've always wondered about midways of the past, how many would use the "World's Largest Midway" slogan. Of course Royal American rightly owned that one, but did any others of the past use it or similar variation?. I can remember (the orginal) Century 21 Shows' "World's Largest Motorized Midway", but I'd venture to say a few of the big shows of the past used the largest midway in the world line......

Hennies Bros Shows used "Worlds Largetst Midway" as did Cavelcade I believe.

Olson had "Worlds Greatest Midway"

Royal American had several:

"The Greatest name in all outdoor showbusiness"

The worlds largest brightest and most brillantly illuminated midway on earth"

"The show beautful"

Another show used: "Bright lights and warm southern nights"
