Does anyone know what year that Pugh bought out Goodings?

i think rt pugh bought goodings in 1976 in

good pics TC even though it was 2 years before i started who is that on the TIP TOP.

Great pics, memories from my youth. I first saw that Sky Wheel in Wayne, Michigan, in May of 1982, first traveling one I had ever seen with multi-coloured seats (Wade and World of Pleasure both had white seats on their Sky Wheel's at that time). Rode that Flying Bobs many times in the early 80's, until they bought the ThunerBolt in 1986. Thanks for sharing the photos.

As for the Gooding purchase, it was 1979 from what I have read and been told before.

I could be wrong, but I don't think its dwight, sorta looks like him BUT the kid on the front is throwing me off. I think his son was born around 81. And I am not sure he was on Pugh then

The year was 1983. Milt Kaufman of Goodings thought Bob Pugh of Pugh Shows wanted a merger while Bob Pugh thought Milt wanted to sell out.Before a deal could be worked out Bob jumped the gun by going to Memphis, Tenn. and taking possession of the Gooding equipment.When no money changed hands Milt called the law who confiscated the equipment in question and detained Bob.Both parties agreed to disagree about the proposed sale/merger and all charges againts Bob were dropped.Both Milt and Bob quickly returned to their home bases where they removed each others name from their Christmas card list.I have heard and read other accounts of this episode, some on this forum, but this is what RABBI Kaufman told me.Would he lie to a gentile?[8)].
