I pm'd matt and fixit last week about this . I am out of town and using someone elses computer,so being i don't have the message board's url memorized i just googled 'matts carnival warehouse'. When i did this and clicked on first mcw on the list,i got a crazy page saying it had been hacked,with a picture of a skull and cross bones.It was gone later in the day,but i was curious as to what it was all about. Seems as though you know who has been up to you know what.......

I have to say I wish I had that much spare time in my life. I cannot understand the mentality of some loser wanting to sabotage someone else's hard work, let alone having the time to see it through. Even after years on the road and a couple in some even more controversial jobs, I am still shocked that people can be so trashy and undignified as to announce to the world that they SUCK. Blows my mind. But I think that's because there's this part of me that still wants to believe in the inherent goodness of people.

It most likely was done by a script kiddie using readily available hacking tools that automate the process of hacking off the shelf code like what is used in the gallery. There is no talent behind it, only power without discipline or true knowledge.

I have to agree, grue. One of the hazards of using off the shelf code that may not be updated or have security issues patched when they become obvious.

I'll pass this one along to Matt, since I'm not involved with the administration of the Photo Galleries. Thanks for the heads up.

Why does there always have to be some ******* out there trying to ruin us....

I tried to log on a couple of nights ago and had the same thing, some strange picture and a message came up about being hacked, I just figured it was the same ole someone who had done some stuff before so I waited and finally was able to log onto the site.

All i get is a 403 error when i visit that link (Forbidden)

A 403 error means access to the directory is not allowed...

Its sad people have to mess up others things [:(]
