If I am not mistaken, Schmidt Amusements is in Boyne City this week for the Mushroom Festival. That's not terribly far from Traverse City.

i thought that the Our Lady of Loretto was in mid september. must have changed it. i used to go to that fair when i was a wee lad. i lived on woodbine just a couple of blocks east. has skerbeck played there since the late 80s? i remember a tabbogan, skywheel, and a really nice himilaya being there.

yeah, we'll have to check them out! i've seen thier trucks before, but have never been to one of thier events. i'm looking forward to it!!

They have a Spring and Autumn festival. Skerbeck plays both. Skerbeck has played the September date since at least 1990. It was Crown Amusements before that, but around 1989 Dick Carl started playing down South after Labour Day, so he gave up all his September/October Michigan spots, one of which was Our Lady of Loretto.
