Just from observing these rides being assembled over the years, it seems that it takes alot more man-hours to set up the Wipeout than it does its predecessors. I'm all for happy mediums here, and I like the Trabant over the Wipeout.

Wipeout - Me + 2 men = 3 hours

I've seen them come down in less but we won't discuss what they looked like each week.

Some of these guys out there make me laugh talking bout moving 3 hours rides in 2 and such. Then can't figure out why the ride looks like crap.

shamrock in ny has a nice trabant.gets pretty good money, full loads all the time. and not just pop. they keep it clean too. sometimes he even puts it next to the tip top they both look nice together.

Was this the same one that Hawkins used to run? I rode it in 2000 and it was extemely well lit and decorated, but it ran slower than heck.

Hawkins' Trabant was with Playland out of Auburn, NY, the last I knew. Shamrock's is newer, one of the last ones built by Chance.

Wow, I am going to have to keep tabs on this one. That would be worth a trip out there this summer to see and ride it. Do they still have their Spider too? I saw this show in 2000 and they had an old Spinaroo also at that time and a Roll O Plane and tilt. Does this show have a web site?

No, I think his was a mid-70's. The fold-up floors started around 70.

Ours is a '72.

Key City had one of early Trabants, I could move a wheel faster.I'm still not impressed by it but I'm not a big Chance fan either.
