The new MCW Classifieds System is now open!

http://www.carnivalwarehouse.com/classifieds

This new system features a complete admin tool so that YOU can edit your own ads. Please note that the user name and passwords associated with the classifieds system are not connected to the forum! You will need to create a new registration for the classifieds.

The Classifieds system also supports the addition of photos with your ad! Unlike the old system where your photo had to be hosted on a different server, the new system allows you to upload your photos directly to the ad!

Through the new classifieds system we will have better control over fake ads and spammers trying to recruit "home based typists". When you register, you MUST confirm your account through the link sent via email.

In addition, the ads are no longer free. Each ad costs $10 and runs for a duration of 30 days. In order to upgrade systems and begin to bring you new services, this was a necessary move.

I moved some of the ads from the old classifieds system over as a courtesy.. Unfortunately because of the timely process of data entry, I was unable to move all of them.

If anyone has any questions or experiences any bugs, please feel free to reply to this thread, PM, or email me!

Thanks You for your support,

Matt Cook

Nicely done Matt. I can't see how anyone can complain about $10. For the exposure it gets, it makes me want to find something to sell!. Besides, you can't run this place on "air" and goodwill.

You are exactly right! There has been a lot of time put into the design of the site and just keeping it running! The classifieds section gets A LOT of exposure and I have heard a lot of success stories from those who have posted on there. [:)]

After you fill out the forum with your ad information and click submit, you will be taken to a payment page. All ads are easily paid through paypal. If anyone has any difficulties, let me know!

FYI, I made a small modification to the display of the classified ads when viewing as a catagory. You now see a small description of the ad next to the ad.

Hope this helps make things a little easier to read [:)]

The question has come up from several folks about posting classified-type ads in the MCW forums. Any ads for Employment, Equipment Wanted/For Sale, Bookings, etc. should be posted in the Classifieds section of the website. Thanks for your cooperation!

I need to have $$ to buy presents too.. [:)] Just joking..

I think we are being very easy on everybody... $10 is a very minimal charge. The local newspaper doesnt give theirs away for free.

We also accept check or money order. An address for payment is given on the payment details page within the classifieds. [:)]
