Murphy Brothers had one at the Florida State Fair- but I have not seen it since then. I dont know if it went to China, stayed in the states, or was sent back to Majestic. I did not see it in Wisconsin.

Chino Zachinni was supposed to get one for his park in the Wisconsin Dells, but, as of 3 weeks ago it was not delivered. Majestic sent him a used Scooter as a space filler (Reithoffers old one), and then replaced the Scooter with a Central Park after the 4th of July. As of now, I dont know the status on the ride.

I know in Gibtown there was a whole list of shows that were getting one. Does anyone remember what that list was?

From the sign on the one set up at Gibtown, the following shows had purchased a Catch 'N Air:

James Gang Amusements

Murphy Brothers Exposition

Majestic Midways

KLS Enterprises

Bates Amusements Inc.

Not sure if any others were sold as a result of the one on display there.

I rode Bates' unit a few weeks ago at the Franklin County (OH) Fair.

It's a nice ride, but the load time is painful. First of all, it can only load half the tubs at a time because there is no access ramp on the high side of the ride; second it seems that the lap bar switches were ridiculously finnicky about indicating "OK".

The ride is rather neat. The top of the ramp has a funny little dip in it so that the ride bounces twice. It's a decent ride, a lot better in my opinion than the Mega Bouncer that is supposed to have the same kind of action (but doesn't...its acceleration profile is upside-down).

That said, on Sunday I was at Kennywood and I rode the Flying Coaster. You know what? Catch'N'Air is a good ride, but the Flying Coaster is better. Not only that, but the Flying Coaster can load seven tubs on the ground, with only two steps up to the one on the ramp. There are no interlock sensors on the lap bar, but the safety locking system is incredibly clever, really low-tech, and just as effective as the much more complicated system on Catch'N'Air. The Flying Coaster only has one bounce, and it doesn't go backward, but overall I think it's still a better ride.

That said, I'm really glad Majestic finally remade it, and unlike Chance's disasterous attempt at a Flying Scooter, Majestic didn't really screw the ride up too badly.

It was the air time that made the ride exciting, I rode one as a kid quite a bit. The 2 sided ramp is good for the reverse movement, but I always liked the air time, & I can see the load time being a drawback to it. It's a shame that they didn't go ahead with a snubber system & jump ramp, they did it in the 60's, & hydraulic technology is light years ahead of what it was then, but then the trade off is the expense of maintenance vs. the current ramp design.
Anyhow, I was curious how the thing is doing mechanically as well as business-wise, thanks everyone for the input.

I'm not sure how they are making out money wise, but i did ride it back in June and it was a boring ride for me. The only thing that makes it exciting is going over the ramp. well thats just my opinion on this ride.

riverview park has received their Catch N' Air, and it has opened to the public. They put it right out front next to the ferris wheel.

Very cool. He took his Moby Dick to the Minnesota State Fair.

Just a observation- if there is already a brand new ride by Majestic on the used market, whats to say about the ride? lol. I hope theyre not following in the same footsteps as a few other US manufacturers. First the XScream and now (maybe) the Catch N Air...
