Take two nice small shows like Fairchild Amusements and Big Hearted Jerry's and join forces to have one nice medium size show..Book on some food and games and you got it going..Here are two small shows that are each doing well and they can only get better..what do you guys think?..

If two or three independent ride owners could go this, wouldn't it be great..One thing I would worry about is that the other show(s) wouldn't do as they promised..There are very few people you can trust in this business and that is a shame.. I hope this idea would fly and get shows together to enhance each other..Are there owners out there that can work with other owners and no one gets the shaft?..

Not in this bus. You are thinking too hard bossman. You can't take ma & pa entrepreneurs and expect them to follow one direction.

Think of it as "trying to herd cats". lots of good examples of shows joining forces. In the end, most go their own way...

Bingo! If it aint broke, why fix it? I could imagine how difficult it would be trying to combine business with someone else who looks at different aspects of the biz differently, which is why so many end up parting ways & picking up where they left off.

Well, we have seen this happen before..sort of. Bill Myers and Bob Bolin sort of joined forces a few years back...(i can remember when Myers would supplement the Mid-South Shows lot in Columbia, KY on occasion) and there was Link-Dillard who joined up as well...

What I'd really like to see is shows that are on lets say "friendly, but competitive terms" and are satisfied with their routes and dates in terms of some smaller fairs be able to swap a few rides around each season. Show XYZ owns a Gravitron....Show ABC has a Scat....it would be cool to see them swap for a season so that each show sort of has a new piece for that year....

Then there's the "who accepts liability" issue.......

Right. I'd assume that would be one of the biggest "snags" to this concept.
