This IS the First, Last and Only Trip report I will do....So, Here you go....

Got to see 2 shows Saturday in Troy Ohio. Which to me is really no big deal since I see them all the time....But, really the first lots I been to this year. Just because I had nothing to do better and I knew the "Trip Master" Ohio Ron lives close by so I could hook up with him for a MCW something or other....

First of all it's been raining here for what seems like days. So why not go out in it....lol

The First spot was Anderson Amusements at the Troy Trade Center.

There was some Major Rides
Some Kiddie Rides
Duck pond
Dozer
Balloon store ( bust one )
Poster joint
Big mouth joint
Pitch til u win
Grab bag
A popper and another grab joint I did'nt really pay attention too.
Everything looked pretty good. Just stopped raining so no people there yet.

On to the "Second Spot". I had Ohio Ron as a guide to get me there otherwise I would of never found it. If you ever been to Troy Ohio ( I recomend against it) you will understand why I needed a "local Guide"...lol It was in a ally and parking lot behind a church. It was a Bona Fide Spot. People were just starting to come out since the sky was clearing up.

(Jimmy) Otterbacher Shows
More of the same as the last Carnival....
Big Rides
Kiddie rides
more food
Alot more games even a "Star Wars" Themed Water Race!!!! Not as cool as it sounds...lol
Beer garden!!!!
G-top ( well not really) it was the Churches.....lol

Just got a paratrooper and it looks sweet....one of the best ones I seen...

Note to Show Owners Present and future: Don't put the help in Orange T-shirts that say STAFF on the back. It makes them look like they are inmates on work release or doing "Community Service" IMHO.....

Was going to go see Durant Amusements at Sidney for a Trifecta Trip report....But, decided I could'nt handle all the excitement for one day and I know what that stuff looks like already also. So, I decided against it....

If you want anymore info just ask...I might tell you or not.....lol

I'll leave the Trip reports to the Professionals from now on....lol

Well, as far as Donnikers are concerned They had some blue ones and a Big Green one with a wet seat ( thanks to me) and no TP not that I needed any ( I would of only set it on fire anyway [}:)])....I'm glad I was'nt the guy/girl before me....I think they need to see a Doctor....

Bubs, First of all it was DAYLITE!!! and only Iggys count Bulbs....Aslong as it spins or does whatever its supposed to do, it's ok in my books....

I am with Boils here, any good "Trip Report" has to include at least 30 pictures of the rides, include the "behind the scenes" shot of the ride jockey smoking a cig when there are no riders. If you are gonna post a fan Ride Report, it must be complete. IMHO[8D]

we are all proud of the effort you put into this report. One thing that you made clear was that you like doing these reports as much as I do, LOL

First, no one makes you read any "trip report". If you know that's what a post is about, why not just skip it if all it is going to do is drive up your blood pressure?

No, unfortunately we are not all "with it" here...but that doesn't mean that a vast majority of us here do not share the same passion for the industry. I, like many others, like seeing here what other shows have so that I at least have an idea of what I'm going to see when/if I ever run into them out there somewhere. It's also beneficial to me to see what fairs/festivals of various sizes get in terms of numbers and kinds of rides, games, food....so that I have some comparison in terms of things for my fair.

ANd as far as only IGGY'S counting bubs, funny thing it seems most show owners I know are concerned about lighting. THey have at least one day or more per week that the do lights. If they are such Iggy's, then I guess the whole industry is screwed. You show me an owner who doesn't care about lights, and I'll bet you it's an owner who doesn't care about anything more than sticking the dollar in his pocket at the end of the night, no matter what the cost to his show or his equipment. Everyone always [ SYSTEM EDIT ]es about how help is rough or doesn't take care of equipment....

Oh, and as for the waste of time on trip reports, then I'd suggest those of you who are on here that have expressed your disatisfaction with the trip reports NOT get on here next Feb and ask "what's at Gibtown" "What's at the trade show" because that is a simple trip report as well.

There were trip reports on this board A LONG time before many people that now post here ever knew about the site. To those who post trip reports, I say keep it up and keep the reports strong. I know I will!

funny thing about lighting, you can replace every bulb after closing and turn them on the next day, and bulbs are out again. i worked in a casino in nevada, and they had a people whose job it was ,24 hours a day, just to keep the bulbs going. any operator who takes pride in their equipement, care how they light it up. BYW with it, i liked your trip report. keep em coming !!

Bryan, Your the one who seems to got your Blood Pressure outa whack....Incase you could not tell this is a SATIRE REPORT...If you REALLY need to know what rides are there PM me and I'll be happy to tell ya. Ohio Ron was also there so if you ask him nicely I'm sure he might supply you with a acceptable T.R.... No pics due to camera issues working on getting fixed. As Far as Iggys counting Bubs...NEWSFLASH!!!! You don't need to actually count them to tell if they are working or not. I am not one ( There are a few here) that say 56% of bulbs working. If you count the bulbs you have to be a little smarter than the average Iggy, Since you would have to do some math...I will retract that statement if it make you happy.I'm glad your such a advocate for Bub's....I could not tell you how many lots I visited, let alone worked where I could tell you what was there. There could be 100 rides with a million bulbs shining brighter than the sun and not a single one of them will put a Dollar in my pocket so I don't really care if they are there or not...
