Okay, one more show. lol Now, this show I recall like I do Motor State Shows, but their history interests me. They never played here in Wayne proper, but they played around this area quite a bit in the 1970's and 1980's, into the early 1990's. The last time I saw this show was 1994 down the street in Inkster, Michigan, around the 4th of July. I recall seeing them at the National Strawberry Festival in Belleville, Garden City at the City Park, Inkster at the vacant lot (now shopping centre) at Michigan Avenue and Inkster Road, Oak Park at a shopping centre, and booked into the Michigan State Fair with Wade Shows in the mid-late 1980's. Rides I recall seeing with the show included a Tempest, Zipper, Rock-O-Plane, Gravitron, Watkins Swinger, Tilt-A-Whirl, g/m Scrambler, Trabant/Casino (I believe it was a Casino), Paratrooper, dark ride that was themed as the Morbid Manor, Eli Wheel, M-G-R, other various kiddies. I was told that the Zipper that A.J. Carl Shows owns was Cook's, and so was the Rock-O-Plane A.J. Carl had through 2003. I know it was Frank Cook that owned the show originally and it was sold to Chuck Kaleel (sp?) sometime in the 1970's, I believe. They were based in Marine City, Michigan (south of Port Huron). I do recall them set up at Garden City Park in September of 1983, there were two Eli Wheels, one at either end of the midway, along with a Tempest, Paratrooper, Scrambler, Tilt-A-Whirl, Rock-O-Plane, dark ride, and Crown Amusements had their Chance Turbo there, one of the only times I ever saw one that ran.

Anyways, just curious, since I like history so much. Any info is cool. Thanks!
