I agree, the CBF probably ins't the place for a carnival. The CBF would not allow a carnival at any of their sites to begin with anyway. My point is why doesn't a community near the CBF, maybe such as my own, have one that has streams of traffic coming and going, morning and early evening.
All the booths shut down around 5 pm daily, we're 20 minutes down the road from there, cars have to come through here to get to the nearest interstate. Seems like if you could get just a couple out of every hundred cars going by to stop, you'd have a hell of a crowd!
The more I think about it, the more sense it makes! Many stop here and get something to eat before hitting the road, it'd be great to have a Show set up in a large parking lot near these fast food restaurants. Of course, local food stands would benefit as well if this were an option for them.
I agree with the previous poster who has issues with the Tilt...LOL...I was dragged by my parents many times to things that were of no interest to me. Eventually, if I whined enough, they usually gave in and did something to pacify me.
I really think this is something that even a Show would pursue to do on their own if enough of them were really educated about this event and the numbers it generates.
You'd think someone would at least give it a try once. To this point, it hasn't even been attempted. Boy, if only I had some rides!
I've never been "with it", just been an interested observer of carnivals for more than 50 years.
Johnny's United Shows..."A Family Tradition" and "All for Fun, Fun for All".
The carnival of my youth, which had roots that originated in my hometown.
