Thank you,I look forward to seeing yours.I went yesterday and there was a good crowd for a tuesday,we had a great time.I think they could have had a few less "wacky wire" joints though, they were everywhere!I noticed the committee taking measurements of the food joints, must have been rent time, lol.

Last year the Wacky Wire cleaned up and I guess word got out...LOL Besides group games and prize every time joints in kiddie land...the wacky wires made a bundle....guess they will be splitting it all this year....[;)]

my question is how can someone in texas, cstephens, know what is going on at the nc state fair. i was there twice, friday and today. scorpion is there next to the demon world. saw it operating. saw the drop tower operating also. did blow a seal today but was running before i left as i watched them repairing it. been running full loads every time i went by it and watched it go up and down for 3 hours as i watched the tractor pull friday.

Bigeli: the Wilmington Fair is probably Powers. I think it's the last spot on their route. They are based very near there.

I think there is way too many water races and other types of group games. Every other joint was a water race. I think it was a little bit of an overkill. Is it possible that over fifty percent of the joints there are water races?? Just a thought. Did anyone count the amount of games?

To be brutally honest, the joints looked like crap, now I am used to the nice aluminum joints out on the west coast, but being VERY familiar with the joints,I was NOT impressed by too many of them. However it is the end of the season and they've been up and down and in and out of the trucks all year so I give them a little slack.I did notice that the stock was kinda crappy as well,I'm used to "Looney Toons",and "Plush",alot of the stock was dreck. There WERE alot of water races, and they were all grossing $$.Most had a 4 player, winner gets choice game wich is nice for the marks. Many ,many water races, wacky wires, and fool the guessers on this lot though.
So, in a few years, if you're walking down a midway and see a Sixcat or a Swinger or a bucket, look around. You might recognize an old man with a smile on his face. Especially if he's saying, "Hey Buddy, can I ask ya?" -sixcat,circa. 2007

i'm worried that mid america might take over the n.c state fair midway mext year and strates will not return, but i'm sure john marconi and tim magid could return with their rides, i am planning on going there next year and i hope strates holds on to that contract for one more year so i can see them for the very first time along wth mid america and carol steam (owned by tim magid, i think)
