After I thought I was never going to see the fighter again it is at least scheduled for the state of Missouri this year along with a few different rides for 2018. The super shot, bumper boats, Kamikaze, and wipeout make a return after several years. The extreme will be on the midway for the first time and I don`t know if the list is complete because there is no tilt a whirl and twister which I thought stayed with the first unit. Looking forward to their arrival,

I didn't know he had Bumper Boats, I thought about the only show with those was BCA anymore.

There seemed to be a bunch of them back in the late 70s early 80s, I can remember seeing big ones and kiddie ones on the midway back then.

Still see a kiddie one from time to time now, but haven't seen a big one in a while.

Look on their web site there is a pic of it. They have not used them in years...

There is an independent (might be Christani) who has both an adult one and a kiddie one. They are both currently at the Meadowlands fair.

I think I seen it on the list for Springfield (Ozark Empire) a few years ago and if it was there I don`t recall it being at the state fair afterward.

Wade had a small set of bumper boats at one time. most likely book-ins. Wade books pieces as needed at events.

Wades ride list on their website shows both an adult and kiddie bumper boats set.

The old Venture River ride is still shown there too

Reithoffer had a nice trailer mtn Venture River at one time, not sure if they use it anymore, looked nice and looked like a breeze to set up.

They had a double Umbrella ride on one trailer as well, Sr. was good at making stuff easy to move as much as he could.

I read one time that he really loved the rides a lot and hated to get rid of any of them, but he said once a ride started nickel and diming him he would get rid of it. Not long after that the Sky Diver and Paratrooper were sold, but he kept a lot of the old classics around for a long time.

For a long time they had:

Chance Twister
2 Tip Tops
Scat
Chance Casino
2 or 3 Scramblers (one was tented for while)
Turn Tike
Starship/Kiddie coaster on one trailer (former Nova)

I was only around the "BIG R" for 3..4 years in the mid 80's. The old man was a ride guy to his core. Loved everything about them....And he was innovative in trying almost anything to make the tear down, jump and setup easier. That didn't stop him from buying almost every huge behemoth from Europe he could get his hands on.The SEASTRURMBAHN was a perfect example. 3 or 4 big heavy loads...but so beautiful when completely up and running.
Forgotten fact: it was Mrs. Bette Reithoffers favorite ride..And pretty much made her husband purchase one after seeing it at the Octoberfest in Munich.

My absolutely favorite music ride, very beautiful when set up yes, with the water fountain and all the lights. Enjoyed the ride action as well, that was the first music ride I ever got on and it was the best, really miss that piece.

Believe Reithoffer sold the Trailer mounted Venture River and it was made into a portable stage.

And yes I believe they used to have 3 set of double Hampton's at one time and 3 kiddie coasters (Super Jet, Go Gator and one other) with another kiddie ride mounter on the front of each.
