I have a few models for sale.

One is a Cummons Sky Wheel:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/...trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I also have two kiddy rides that I built a long time ago when I first started scratch building. They have recently been replace with new models and I dont have any use for the older ones anymore. They have some imperfections and could use a touch up.

Beautiful Sky Wheel. No reserve?

Why would you need to put a reserve on a CUMMONS peice?? you will get more than it's valued anyways when the auction is done from those people that can't wait the time to get one from Don....

No reserve Chris. Like Sidwinder said, it wil go up to where it needs to be. People know the value of the ride and the value of not having to wait to get it.

Also, mine has LED lights in the tower. Pretty cool looking at night.

Gee I don't know, I guess I am just stupid and don't understand how Ebay works? I mean, considering almost every other auction for a CUMMONS piece I have seen has had a reserve price. But what do I know, I just asked a simple question.

Cummons Pieces can be pretty flaky on Ebay. I've seen quite a few over the years go for much less than they were worth. Time of the year also has an impact on the Final Price. Best of Luck getting the most for it Matt!! Coming from your possesion, I know it was taken care of.
What do you get if you crossed a Merry Mixer with a Berry Go Round??
3 Possible answers:
1. A Merry Go Round
2. A Berry Mixer
3. Jam

powersbt has a great point, in my opinion a lot of it has to do with how the item is listed. Many times people don't know what they have, and they list the item poorly. As in, without 'Cummons' in the title or description, therefore it is often overlooked. With that said, any item I've seen thats well listed like Matt's piece is, always sells for what its worth. At or over the current price offered by Don.

I agree, many factors play into effect. I have hit some home runs on ebay with models and some stuff not so much. My biggest argument now are the fees. Just in order to get the price you want you will have to mark the item up 20% to cover all the fees. I have found being as descriptive in the title as possible, and listing for longer amounts of time to be successful. I always end the items around 9pm on Sunday or Tues nights. Seems most people are around then. I think these should go for a good amount!

I feel on ebay your finally price will generally reflect the value of the item as long as it is listed well. If you really want to sell it, it is best to list it as an acution with a low starting price to get peoples interest. Somebody will see the value and be willing to pay. Listing it with a reserve you may not get as much interest because people see it is a reserve auction and they won't bid. I have sold thousands of dollars of model railroad stuff for my dad and played around with pricing. I have found that the best price I got and the most watchers was when I started the auction well below it's value. On small items, I don't see any reason to pay extra for the reserve pricing (is that still how it is now?).

As far as the fees and ebays attitude (rating system) toward the smaller sellers, I don't like. They started with people selling their used junk and now I feel ebay is trying to become another amazon and they really don't want the used stuff on there anymore. They only want the larger sellers that sell new.

It is what you learn, after you know it all, that counts.

I dont agree 100% with that. I recently got "power seller" status, which is supposed to give you exclusive discounts on final value fees, better listing positioning, and discounts on USPS shipping via Ebay. You are supposed to ship within one business day and have a 14 day refund policy to retain this status. Of the roughly 240 feedback ratings that I have, I would estimate I probably sold 5 brand new items - lol. Most of the stuff we sell with my account is used stuff.

All three rides are packed safely and ready to ship. Who will be the lucky buyers? Only a few more hours to bid!

I would imagine the cost to ship international for a Cummons is unbelievably high, which is why Don himself won't do it.

Don will not ship to Canada. He told me every time he sends something there it gets broke. He sent one model there, it got damaged in customs, then repaired it, sent it back and it was broken again. I personally rather not deal with that and the extra paperwork.

Sorry to my Canadian friends..
