how much horsepower is needed for a cable drive eli #5 wheel (electric motor)?

If I remember correctley my GM had a 10 horse on it. I do not rember what size shive it takes to get the wright rpm.

10 hp. Sheave size depends on RPM. Use a 1100 rpm motor and the sheave size will be bigger, less slippage. WHeel should turn 6 to7 RPM

Eli Bridge can tell you what size sheave to use with what motor. If the wheel is trailer mounted the sheave size will depend on who mounted it. If it was done by Sunny the sheave size with be the same as a ground mount. If beirbaum did it the size is different.
