The clearfield county fair board announced that reithoffer shows got all their equipment in early enough and setup and inspected and was able to open a day early which was sunday afternoon from 2 PM to 8 PM. Thats incredible since some of the equipment got torn down in Kimberton. and met up with the other unit. im pretty sure its the orange unit and a few rides from the blue unit.

They was giving away $7.00 wrist bands on sunday not bad at all.

a tease of some of the rides that are their is Freak out, Sling shot, Dutch wheel, Huss tornado, Sizzler, Oribiter, and the cliff hanger, as well as some of the kiddie rides, Fire chief, Bee bop, Bear affair, Raiders, Jumpin star, Dizzy dragons, Mini indi, merry go round, Super scooter, Orient express.

Logan Jacot's Circus Vera SideShow is there. I believe this is a Blue Unit event. Logan "circus jumped" in from Sidney, OH.

Reithoffer always has great deals on wristands. At Brockton one night they had 10 dollar wristbands for 45+ rides. There rides are in top condition as well

I noticed that a lot of the bigger shows tend to offer more POP armbands and sometimes at deeply discounted rates. How well does this work for them? Do the patrons come out and spend more elsewhere on the midway? Obviously that is the goal, but does it work?

In my case it works well and I will tell you why..When I go to an event such as our county fair or state fair or other festivals,I have a set amount that I spend..It is not set in stone, but I try to stick to it..Therefore if the wristbands are less than I had planned on,then the extra money does get spread out ,,,To be honest it is always rides first, then something to eat, then games..

A couple years ago Wade ran a special at the county fair for 12 dollar wristbands if you bought them in advance (which I did)..That extra savings did in fact get spent on games and food.....jeff

This is an Orange unit fair. At this point in the season they have some rides from both units.
Stop complaining...Nobody cares anyway!!

Jeff, I couldnt agree more. Plus, when you buy in advance, sometimes you could be dipping into multiple pay checks. Instead of a customer going to the fair, spending $15 on a POP bracelet, $15 on food, and another $15 on games ($45 total), they would only be shelling out $30 at the event because the first $15 was spent a week or so in advance. I have a question about who decides if it is POP and the pricing?
Do some fair boards insist on wristbands every day? I assume this is all negiotiating points when the fair/carnival contract is signed.
