I have a question on this ride. A while ago, I saw one that had the arms of the roulette wheel removed on top of the ride. I didn't think anything of it but I just saw another one that way and I saw a video on youtube like that of a different one. Is there a reason that they are taking these pieces off the ride?

Often times older rides start to lose scenery items over time. Cost too much to keep up with everything or replace cosmetic things. Could be why...maybee someone knows more about that ride.

There's a Trabant up here in NY that the owner has removed the banjo lights around the perimeter of the deck, and has replaced the center ornament/lights with half a mirrored ball. The parts removed are in storage, I've been told. Saving time on setup/teardown is the reason they did it.

Did you guys put led lights on that yet? The Round Up looked really nice when you re-did that piece

I saw one yesterday near Philly. It was the one I have been looking for that I wanted pictures of the scenery for model building. The roulette wheel parts did not exist, and they didn't have the banjo's or the lights around it. In addition, the casino sign and A's were out back on the ground. It used to be such a nice looking ride and now it has been turned to crap.

Hawkins Trabant went to Playland Amusements around 2002 and is now owned by Main Event. Last time I saw it the upper lights around the perimeter fence had been removed.
