Didnt the AB publish what rides the shows bought or plan on buying for that year around the same times athe Top 50 Fairs/Carnivals? If so I wonder if Matt could continue that tradition too.

I can see it now-Tom Powell can bunk at Matt's and when ever some show owner tells an untrue story it can be reported as fact.

Then if we read this website we are DQ'd from certain midways.

We could even carry on the tradition of "Jackpots" where photos are taken and every third person identifies himself as Robin Marks.

Then there was the ultimate fate of AB-

I don't remember AB making a LIST of who bought what, but told about new purchases when they covered the shows that bought.

Some shows play that stuff close to the vest.

Remembering how good their service was, this issue could have just shown up.

I bet we could still sell old issues to guys don't know any better...

Stopped in Showtown once and asked if they had a AB...The bartender said someone was reading it and I could have it when they were done...I said I wanted to buy one...The bartender took the thing away from the guy and gave it to me....lol

We have two large bins full of AB's from 70's to early 80. We go thru them now & then, when we see someone we know in them, we give them to them.

Totally unfair...

comparing this site to the AB...

Most of the people writing about the amusement industry here at least know something about the business...

I go back a little further than the AB. I remember the old Billboard. Had it all, routes, ads, news for evrybody. Then the AB came along and it kinda lost's flavor and direction. How many remembber the saying A dollar, a road map and Billboard?
