How many on here have a nice Sky Diver model, Cummons, RAH, scratchbuilt, whatever? Also, how many have one of Tim Eaton's balsa wood Sky Diver? I know of someone in Sanford, NC with his Sky Diver, but i don't know if he still has it. Last time i talked to him, he didn't want to part with it. Tim did a super good job on making / building the Sky Diver! It looked perfect to a T!...in my opinion. It had the "bicycle wheel effect" to it, dead-on. I don't care if it didn't move, it was a pleasure just to stare at it & look at it. I don't remember if my friend's Sky Diver Tim built, if it had the eagles on the hoods of the Diver cars or not. That part i do not remember, but i do remember it being very very authentic! [:o)] I've tried doing a Sky Diver from K'nex parts, but the only thing i can come up with is the scissor-lift.
It would take quite a few more K'nex pieces to make the Wheel itself look true to the real Diver's wheel, sweeps, & hills/points, as well as the Diver cars. Thought about buying another RAH Sky Diver and taking my time on it to make it look half way decent. Wether or not it moves, it's a great looking ride to display in a room or office. What was your favorite color scissor-lift? Mine?, the maroon-orange scissor-lift...like Tolve' Presentations used to have their Diver looking like back in the 80's/early 90's, before they painted it ugly purple, yuck! [B)]
